Volunteers
All programs at Connecting Trust are run by volunteers, who are the lifeline of the organization. Connecting Trust volunteers are always learning – about the world about themselves and growing in the process knowing that their time and skills create an impact and make that vital difference.

- Feel compassion for people who attempt suicide or have lost a loved one to suicide
- Have the ability and willingness to create an environment which encourages others to freely share their feelings of pain, agony or any feeling of distress
- Accept that every individual has the ability and responsibility to decide how they feel or how they wish to act
- Are comfortable if people’s choices are different from their own choices
- Able and willing to do this without feeling compelling need to impose their own judgements and values
- Ability and willingness to be honest and open about their own feelings when they listen to others
- Take responsibility and ensure that programs are conducted with utmost responsibility
Our volunteers are a group of enthusiastic, empathetic and highly motivated individuals coming from all walks of life and are here to do their bit for the greater good. Our volunteers come from different professional backgrounds, age-groups and countries, but all with the single aim of helping and giving back. To ensure continuous volunteer engagement and retention we conduct self-care programs, get-togethers and informal events throughout the year. These are centered around festivals and other occasions and help to cultivate a sense of togetherness, community and belonging.
